You help every student and guest feel welcome and find their way at the Fall Kickoff, 4–7 PM ET in the Miner Building. We appreciate you.
Reporting Time
Please report by 3:30 PM
That leaves time to get ready before participants arrive at 4:00 PM. The set-up crew starts at 3:00 PM.
We hope you can stay until the end (7:00 PM), but we understand if you need to leave early. Clean-up wraps by 7:45 PM.
Your Main Tasks
These two come first and keep the Expo running smoothly.
Support & Guide Participants
- Welcome students and guests as they arrive
- Provide directions and answer basic questions
- Help guide students throughout the event space
Be Visible & Approachable
- Wear black attire or Howard University gear
- This helps participants spot you as a volunteer

Food Table Support
Help manage and organize the food table
Organization Tables
Support organization tables where partners place swag and materials
Flow Management
Monitor general flow and participant needs throughout the event
Set-Up & Clean-Up
Help set up before 4:00 PM and break down after
Technology Support
Help participants connect to Wi-Fi (HowardGuest) and provide basic troubleshooting
Faculty and staff: sign up
