Your role is essential in creating a welcoming, organized, and engaging experience for all participants on Day 1 of the expo. We truly appreciate you.
Reporting Time
Please report by 3:45 PM
This allows time to prepare for participant arrival at 4:00 PM
We hope you can stay for the duration of the event (7:30 PM) but understand if you need to leave at any point.
Your Main Tasks
These are the core responsibilities that will help make the Expo run smoothly.
Support & Guide Participants
- Welcome students and guests as they arrive
- Provide directions and answer basic questions
- Help guide students throughout the event space
Be Visible & Approachable
- Wear black attire or Howard University gear
- This helps participants easily identify you as a volunteer
Other Ways You Can Help
You may be asked to assist with any of the following tasks throughout the event.
Food Table Support
Help manage and organize the food table
Organization Tables
Support organization tables where partners place swag and materials
Flow Management
Monitor general flow and participant needs throughout the event
Set-Up & Clean-Up
Assist with event set-up prior to 4:00 PM and support breakdown after
Technology Support
Help participants connect to Wi-Fi (HowardGuest) and provide basic troubleshooting
