Congressional Black Caucus Foundation
A national nonprofit advancing the global Black community through public policy, leadership development, and civic engagement.
What They Do
The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the global Black community by developing leaders, informing policy, and educating the public. Through fellowships, internships, research, and public programs, CBCF creates pathways into public service and policy for emerging Black leaders.
Where Howard Fits
Howard education students who are passionate about civic engagement, public policy, and the broader ecosystem that shapes educational equity will find an important entry point here. CBCF's programs offer practical exposure to legislative processes, policy analysis, and leadership development that can complement classroom training.
Why Talk to Them
Talk to CBCF if you're curious about how to connect your commitment to education with careers in government, advocacy, or public leadership—and if you want structured opportunities in D.C. that center Black communities and voices.
